Between the decision letter and a live article page sits a long tail of unglamorous work: reference lists in four different styles, figures at the wrong resolution, tables that break in PDF, author proofs that come back three weeks late, and metadata that has to be right or Crossref rejects the deposit.
Most journals absorb this into whoever has time. That’s how issues slip. We run it as a production process — scheduled, tracked and consistent across every article you publish.

Send us two or three accepted manuscripts. We process them to your style at no charge, agree the standard, then quote a fixed per-article price and turnaround.

Articles move through copyediting, typesetting, XML and proofing on a tracked schedule, with a live view of where every manuscript sits.
3. Delivery
Final files, metadata and DOI deposits delivered to your platform, ready to publish. Corrections after publication handled on the same plan.
Built on a toolchain we wrote for ourselves
Amplionix publishes its own peer-reviewed open access journals, and the batch formatting and metadata tooling behind this service was built to handle our own volume first. That means consistency across hundreds of articles rather than whatever the individual freelancer on a given file happened to do.
Where automation handles the repetitive parts, a person still reads the paper. Nothing goes out unreviewed.

Every article passes a second-pass quality check against your style sheet before delivery, and substantive edits are queried with the author rather than made silently.
Manuscripts in production are unpublished work — handled under signed NDAs, on access-controlled systems, with staff assigned on a least-privilege basis and access revoked when an engagement ends.
Fixed per article
Manuscript processing is priced per article, with the rate set by output formats, average length and turnaround. Volume rates are available for continuous publication. No setup fee, no minimum contract, and the sample is free.
FAQ
Can we see the quality before committing?
Yes. Send two or three accepted manuscripts and we’ll process them to your style at no charge. That sample sets the standard we’re then held to.
What turnaround can you commit to?
Standard production is quoted per article with a committed date. Expedited handling is available where an issue deadline is at risk.
Do you edit the science?
No. We edit language, consistency and formatting. Anything that touches meaning, claims or results is queried with the author, never changed on our own judgement.
Can you handle our back catalogue?
Yes — batch reprocessing of legacy articles into current XML and metadata standards is one of the more common projects we take on.
What if we already have a typesetter?
Then you may only need the XML and metadata layer, which is where most journals actually fall short. We’ll quote just that.
